To apply to the history secondary education graduate program, a completed application must be submitted by the deadlines set by the Graduate College. For a complete listing of admission requirements, please review the admission requirements page.

Application process

To apply for admission to the Master of Science in Education degree in the department of history, you must complete the steps listed below:

  1. Apply to and be admitted to the Graduate College at Missouri State University; pay the required fee as determined by the Graduate College.
  2. Submit transcripts to the Missouri State University office of Graduate Admissions, Carrington Hall 419.
  3. Submit Graduate Record Examination (GRE) scores to the Graduate College.
  4. Provide at least three letters of recommendation to Dr. Kathleen Wroblewski.

The history department will review all submitted applications and will make admission decisions based on the application form, the recommendation forms, previous coursework, and your GPA and GRE scores. Admission will be granted to qualified students beginning with the highest rankings until all openings in the program have been filled. If you do not meet all required criteria, you may still be considered for admission to the program based upon compensating factors.
