History Minor

Studying for a minor in history

The history minor degree program offers students the opportunity to pursue their interest in both U.S. and world history. A minor in history is a good companion to several different degrees including political science, economics, anthropology, and religious studies. The writing and research skills that the minor in history allows students to develop are also excellent preparation for those planning to enter the fields of law, politics, and public service.


Minor requirements

The minor in history is an 18-hour program that consists of a blend of U.S. and world history courses. To complete a minor in history, you must take the following courses:

Adding a minor

To add a minor, visit the Academic Advising and Transfer Center in University Hall 109. You may need to receive a signature from the head of the department of history to authorize the addition of a history minor.
