News and upcoming events

•  Special time for the the November meeting: 6:30 p.m., Friday, November 13, 2009, at The Library Center, Springfield, Missouri.  We will view the new film "The Battle of Wilson's Creek" produced by Wide Awake Films. The film is currently in production and if film has not been released by the meeting, another Civil War documentary will be featured. Visitors and students always free and welcome!

•  Elections for Round Table offices are coming up soon. Nominations will be made at the November meeting, and we will vote in December. This is an opportunity to participate in the Round Table in a most important way. Please consider making a commitment to the excellence of this organization by contributing your time and skills. Let President Jeff Patrick know if you are interested in a nomination.

•  Silent auction at the December meeting.  Bring your check book or some cash to the December meeting, when we will have a silent action of books and other items.
